North Carolina Black Elected Municipal Officials (NCBEMO) used this summer’s conference to look back at their achievements over the last 30 years and, most importantly, setting the stage for the future. The group, which met in Durham at the end of July, also used their conference to award scholarships to three college-bound seniors. [read more]
